FAQ
Questions about Twise, answered plainly
What it is, what it learns from, how it gets onto a site, what it does when it does not know, and how it handles languages, leads, and branding.
What is Twise?
- Twise is an AI assistant that you embed on your website. It learns from your own content — your pages, PDFs, and videos — and answers visitors' questions in any of 92 languages, in text or speech, guiding them to the right page, product, or booking.
How is Twise different from a chatbot?
- A scripted chatbot follows decision trees someone wrote by hand, and can only answer what it was scripted for. Twise reads your existing website and documents and answers from them, so it covers everything you publish without anyone writing dialogue. It also answers with product cards, images, and links rather than text alone.
What content can Twise learn from?
- Twise learns from your website (crawled page by page), individual web pages you add, PDFs, videos, audio, and images uploaded to its knowledge library, and product catalogues imported as CSV or XML. You choose the sources, and you can exclude URLs you do not want indexed.
How do I add Twise to my website?
- You add Twise with a single script tag in your page HTML. There is also a Webflow Designer extension and a WordPress plugin if you would rather not paste code. The script works on any stack, because the assistant renders in an iframe instead of hooking into your framework.
What languages does Twise support?
- Twise answers in 92 languages, in text and in speech, and detects the language a visitor writes in so it replies in the same one. That range comes from the OpenAI language and speech models underneath. In the admin you set a primary language, pick additional ones from a list of 32, and can restrict the assistant to reply only in the languages you actually support.
Can Twise speak, and can visitors talk to it?
- Yes. Visitors can dictate questions with the microphone, and Twise can reply in speech as well as text. Voices come from OpenAI or ElevenLabs, and you can add a custom voice.
Will Twise make things up?
- Twise answers from the sources you give it rather than the open web, and is instructed to say when it does not know. Every unanswered question is recorded as a content gap in the insights, so you can see exactly where your content is thin and fix it.
Can Twise capture leads?
- Yes. Twise can ask for a name, email, or any fields you define during a conversation, store them, and forward each lead through Zapier to your CRM or wherever else you want them.
Can I make Twise match my brand?
- Yes. Colours, fonts, layout, the welcome card, and the conversation starters are all configurable, and a white-label option removes Twise branding from the assistant entirely.
Where can Twise appear on the page?
- Twise supports four placements: a floating bubble in the corner, a search bar anchored to the bottom of the page, an inline panel inside your own layout, and a full-page experience on its own URL.
What does Twise show me about my visitors?
- Twise reports every question asked, every message exchanged, and every lead captured, and groups the questions it could not answer as content gaps. That turns the assistant into a running record of what people came to your site for.
Can more than one person manage a Twise agent?
- Yes. Agents belong to an organisation, and people can be invited as collaborator, analyst, editor, admin, or owner, each with different rights over content, insights, and billing.
Ask it yourself
Every answer on this page is also something the assistant at the bottom of your screen can answer, in your language, out loud.
